Way to Go Sausalito

The Way to Go program is a 3-year Personal Travel Planning effort based on the successful SmartTrips program developed in Portland, OR. In this program's first year, all 7,700 households in Sausalito, CA will receive an invitation to receive a customized materials packet and participate in events and classes related to bicycling, walking, and transit use. The Way to Go program is part of the Marin County Walk Bike Marin (Nonmotorized Transportation Pilot Program) effort, a $25 million demonstration program funded by Congress. Over the next two years, the program will expand to selected areas in Novato and San Rafael as well.
