San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency announced the release of the State of Cycling in San Francisco Report on Bike to Work Day 2009 in front of City Hall. This is an important report detailing current bicycle ridership information in the City and will be a useful and interesting document for visioning and planning purposes. This report was developed and written by Alta, and involved intercept surveys of bicyclists, bicycle counts, and a random phone survey of San Francisco residents to understand bicycling behavior, needs of bicyclists, and the attitudes of cyclists and non-cyclists to bicycling and the city's bicycle infrastructure. For more information about the report, please contact Lauren Ledbetter.
