Philip Sales, RLA, Senior Associate

Growing up in Great Britain, I was fortunate enough to live in areas where taking public transport and walking were taken for granted. I often cycled to work in central London along the Thames towpath. When I worked on planning new towns in and around London in the 1970s we developed pedestrian pathways as part of the infrastructure for those communities. The automobile “cocoons” people and they often do not even to meet and talk with neighbors. Alta helps recreate those lost connections between people and their communities.

Philip Sales joined Alta in September 2006. Mr. Sales has over thirty years of experience in greenway, park, trail and bikeway design, planning, and implementation, land and easement acquisition, grant writing, and environmental documentation. He has extensive experience working with elected officials, community organizations, private, state and federal funding organizations and the general public.
