Improving pedestrian safety and comfrot shoul be a goal for any forward-thinking community, giving people a chance to do business, re-create, and just explore the world around them - on foot. Alta has been creating better access and walking routes for more than a decade, through the planning and design of streetscapes, Main Street Corridors, transit access, waterfronts, and parks. As a start-to-finish resource, we can create a master plan for your pedestrian project. We'll help analyze current conditions, assess needed improvements, identify funding resources and strategies, design and engineer pedestrian projects, coordinate public and agency involvement, and see the project through on details such as connectivity, ADA compliance, landscaping, and future project expansion.
We are paricularly strong in integrating environmental concerns with our projects. Our goal is for each project to improve the envrionment and make places better for generations to come. We perform detailed environmental assessments to ensure that our projects respect the natural environment. In addition, we emphasize green infrastructure, finding ways to build waht's needed while keeping it eco-friendly.
