North Clackamas Community Park, Clackamas, Oregon
North Clackamas Park represents the largest community park in the jurisdiction of the North Clackamas Park and Recreation District. It is 45 acres in size and is split by a drainage that defines two distinct areas within the park. The south side of the park is primarily parking and ballfields. The north side includes a playground, picnic areas, and an ash-oak woodland. Alta worked with the community stakeholders through public meetings, mailings, and use of a website to develop a conceptual plan for the north side of the park. The final plan features riparian restoration areas, dedicated wildlife areas, a new walking path, an improved dog park and a new parking lot.
