Dundee (OR) Refinement Plan
Dundee, a small town (pop. 4,000) on a major state highway in the heart of Oregon's wine country, is on the verge of major economic revitalization. The local businesses and residents asked Alta to lead development of a Downtown Core Area Land-Use and Main Street Enhancement Plan, in conjunction with an ongoing transportation system plan process. The pedestrian-focused planning project involves designating land-use locations for open space, retail, public buildings and parking; developing street and building design guidelines; determining street cross-sections and pedestrian crossing designs; evaluating and suggesting zoning code changes; and designing gateway treatments, signage and design themes. Alta is working with a community-led visioning process to ensure a bold, implementable blueprint for success.
