Columbus Ohio Bicycle Master Plan

Alta Planning + Design led a major bicycle master plan effort for the City of Columbus, in coordination with MORPC and Burgenss & Niple.  The plan included a major assessment of existing bikeways, a full needs and demand analysis, public outreach and workshops,  development of a comprehensive bikeway system, prioritization of bikeway projects, design standards and guidelines, a financial and funding section, and an implementation chapter.  Some key issues included incoporating the bikeway planning effort into a neighborhood planning process, and identifying improvements that could be incoporated into those local plans.
